Finario, the Solution for Capex, is a fast growing Software-as-a-Service technology company.  Our Capital Planning & Portfolio Strategy solution is utilized by leading companies worldwide to better prioritize capital project opportunities and drive long-term growth and profitability.  Finario provides a single-source of truth for long-term planning, annual budgeting, approvals, forecasting and performance reporting.  

As a Software Architect for Finario, you’ll work closely with the CTO, head of product and tech lead to design major software components, systems, and features in the Finario application. This is a hands-on role requiring most of your time coding, with skills that are as sharp, if not better, than the senior engineers on the team.

Responsibilities:

• With help from the product team, understand our key problems and pain points, and devising solutions to meet them
• Lead design discussions to vet technical solutions
• Create component and object level design, as well as the production, troubleshooting, and documentation of high-quality code
• Evolution of the team’s core set of best practices and SDLC
• Help build the Finario development community by mentoring, interviewing, recruiting, technical seminars, etc.
• Select and evangelize major open-source tools, frameworks and componentsAccounting - Make a modest number of monthly accounting entries (i.e. revenue, payroll)

Desired Qualifications:

• Professional software development experience in technically rigorous environments
• Experience evolving a large code base across upgrades and versions
• Strong computer science fundamentals with a mastery of backend platform-level and infrastructure development
• Experience architecting and developing distributed systems
• Significant experience with complex backend systems and a fluency with contemporary programming languages, patterns, and architectures
• Deep familiarity with cloud SaaS applications
